My background working with trauma and neuro and spine patients made me curious about opioid addiction as many of my patients had developed tolerance to pain medications and it made it difficult to treat and manage their pain during their treatment. During my clinical training for FNP I worked with a Family Practice that treated OUD with MAT and it fascinated me and led me to pursue my ASAM training and work with a small practice treating OUD. I read about Bicycle Health and was intrigued and then reached out to recruitment but needed more training and experience and continued with this until I finally applied and was hired in April 2023 where I now work as a clinician treating patients with OUD.
